Higgins Concrete is a family owned company made up of a team of 120+ staff providing quality concrete and service across the lower North Island and upper South Island operating with over 90 concrete and aggregate trucks and cement tankers.

Alongside Higgins Concrete, we also have Counties Ready Mix in Drury, Supacrete in Tauranga, and five Hirock quarries located around the lower North Island under the Higgins Family umbrella.

We have been involved in many large projects around our regions including the new Turitea Windfarm in the Manawatu, the Bowen Campus in Wellington, and the Olive Estate Lifestyle Village in Nelson.

As well as our involvement in developments throughout our regions, we enjoy being a part of our communities whether it be through sponsorships, participating in local events and fundraisers, or helping out around community where we can.

In recent years we have shown our support to Child Cancer and Mentemia’s mental health efforts through the rebranding of some of our trucks along with donating portions of our proceeds and raising awareness to our staff and communities (look out for our pink and blue trucks on the roads!).

 In February 2018 the Nelson region was struck by two cyclones, causing massive damages and flooding. With the plant shutdown due to severe flooding and a power outage, our staff sprung to action – giving away sand delivered by our concrete trucks to fill sand bags around town and working with Police to transport stranded kids in our loader from nearby a child care centre. These actions were later recognised by Concrete NZ Ready Mix, awarding Higgins Concrete Nelson the 2018 Extra Distance Award.
