MWRC Holdings Commercial Building

Project Overview

Higgins Concrete provided concrete for the new MWRC Holdings Commercial Building, a project of McMillan and Lockwoods, which will house Palmerston North’s IRD office and Horizons Regional Council.

 

This project required several big pours; on one of these days, for 9 hours straight, 24 concrete trucks delivered over 160 loads to the site out of our Palmerston North and Feilding plants with the help of trucks from our Masterton and Wellington branches.

The 160+ loads of concrete required 660 tonnes of sand and 880 tonnes of stone, constantly carted throughout the day by 5 aggregate trucks, and 272 tonnes of cement which required 10 loads by our cement tankers all in one day.

To ensure the delivery of the right amount of concrete at the right time, Higgins Concrete vehicles were from around the region as well as concrete testers and a support team all worked hard to ensure the job ran smoothly.
